Danas su objavljene nominacije za prestižne muzičke nagrade Grammy. Pevačica Meghan Trainor pročitala je u jutranjem prohgramu CBS televizije nominovane u četiri najvažnije kategorije – Najbolji novi izvođač, Singl godine, Pesma godine i Album godine, a kasnije je objavljeno i ostalih 80 kategorija.

Kako se i očekivalo, najviše nominacija osvojili su Chance the Rapper, Adele, Drake i Beyonce. Mnoge je iznenadilo to što David Bowie nije posthumno dobio više nominacija, što Kanye West sa albumom Life of Pablo ima samo pet nominacija (i to ne za Najbolju pesmu), kao i da miljenik tinejdžerki Zayn Malik nije dobio nijednu nominaciju.

59. dodela Grammyja održaće se 12. februara 2017. godine, a domaćin ceremonije biće komičar i voditelj James Corden.
